It's Stephy's 17th birthday!
I smsed Pei Zhi yesterday to plan a party for our squeeky gal since today is the last school day of the term before we had our so-called holidays. Thanks Pei Zhi for your help!
Note: 26 more days to JCT

And so school started off with maths lecture and then Bio SPA. Recalling the short time span we were given to pen down our answers really gave me the shivers. I'll be keeping my fingers and toes crossed for the class. We'll ace this test!
After lessons, nine very relieved and happy girls(Stephy, Amanda, Karen, Crystal, Yanning. Yuan Jing, Desiree, Hui Qi and me) headed for Parkway to have lunch. Stephy still doesn't suspect that we're going to surprise her later. Seemed that the plan is going well.
After much discussion and coin flipping, we finally decided to dine at Swensens. During the waiting time, Karen, Yanning and I went around to search for the perfect cake for our birthday gal. When we entered the first confectionery shop, we spotted a longan cake. I recalled Stephy eyeing on the iced longan dessert this morning during the short break but we decided not to buy it as it really doesn't look very appealing.
And so after browsing all the cake shop we can find in Parkway, we finally decided on Mango Tropicana! It has sweet, tangy mango mousse layered with vanilla sponge and mango slices. Totally yummy!

I suggested that Karen carry the cake in to surprise Stephy but Karen insisted that I do the job.
We argued for a few mintues and finally decided to ask Amanda to carry the cake in instead.
Since Amanda is in the restaurant, I gave her a call.
Karen thought of the most brilliant idea to allow Amanda to leave the restaurant without arousing any suspicion.
Here goes the conversation between Amanda and me
Me: Hello Amanda?
Amanda: Yeah?
Me: Amanda, you come out and help us carry the cake in to surprise Stephy okay? You sneak out by telling them that Karen needs a pad urgently.

Great idea isn't it?
Amanda couldnt quite figure out what I'm talking about but at that moment Hui Qi and Desiree came out of the restaurant for the ladies. Bingo!
We shall have our CG rep to carry the cake in.
And so we opened the box of the cake and put on the candles. Karen seemed to have a hard time inserting the candle into the holder. Haha. She decided then to just carry the box in while we prepared the cake...
Finally it's the long awaited moment.
Happy Birthday to you
Happy Birthday to you
Happy Birthday to Stephanie
Happy Birthday to you!
All the diners in the restaurant turned to our direction as we headed towards our very happy birthday girl who had a wide smile spread across her face.
After making a wish and blowing the candles, we asked Stephy if she has suspected about the whole plan. Yes was the answer. Hmm.. not very good planning huh.
Stephy told us that she suspected that because Karen and I excused ourselves to the toilet twice and that Amanda told her I was stucked in the toilet. Haha..
Okay so we had our main course. Fish & Chips, Breaded Chicken, Pasta, Salmon, Lamb Chop...
We had some random chats in between and during the long session we had, I realised that Karen isn't that childish anymore. She grew mature! Oh WOW! Good news. And yes, we have made Yanning the childish gal of class. The reason to that is because Yanning's the oldest girl of us 9. Since the youngest isn't childish, the oldest shall be the one. Okay okay, I know it doesn't make sense. Haha..
Oh ya btw Yanning is our Da Jie Da follow by Stephy, Me, Crystal, Desiree, Amanda, Hui Qi, Yuan Jing and finally Karen. And guess what our youngest gal called herself? Xiao Jie (lady in chinese) because since the eldest is Da Jie, the youngest will have to be Xiao Jie. No comments.
After our dessert, Steph still had a large portion of cake with her. We decided to play Zhong Ji Mi Ma and the loser will have to eat the cake.
Desiree lost the first and second round. Follow by Yanning and then very soon all of them lost at least once except for Crystal, Stephy and me. When Karen lost, I stuffed a large portion of cake into her mouth. haha..
but but but.. the group sabo me! No matter what number I called out, it will be the losing number. Grr.. How evil! And yes, Karen fed me a very very large portion of the cake. She can't be a good mother in future. I had cream all over my hair and face. Mothers have to be very careful and Karen really need practise on that. Haha..
During the game, Hui Qi played with the dessert plate and all the left overs. By the way, we had chocolate ice cream with chocolate sauce and chocolate chip cookie and a red cherry which none of the girls ate their share. I just realised that so many of them hated cherry.
And so Hui Qi designed the plate using the chocolate sauce and placed a lemon in the middle. She even sprinked pepper all over the plate for decorative purpose. A great masterpiece! But the expression Hui Qi gave when Amanda took a photo of her and the plate really gave us a good laugh. How funny!
Also we presented Stephy a birthday card from 29/06!
It all ended with nine very satisfied girl leaving the restaurant behind with chocolatey covered plates, one broken candle and a glass containing murky water and a red cherry in it!
Once again, Happy Birthday Stephy!

p.s. amanda, can you post the pictures of stephy's birthday party? :)
